I have delved into the world of container gardening before and had some success, but the new trend seems to be growing fruit and citrus trees in containers.

I'm not sure how successful this would be, especially during the colder months. My other potted plants I just bring inside, but it seems bring in an entire tree might be a little bit of a challenge. At the nursery I recently saw dwarf lemon trees that were being sold and advertised for containers.

Has anyone done this? Or know of someone that has? I guess the pro would be if you had your trees in containers you would be able to take them with you if you move. I like that idea of not losing your investment since trees take so much time and care.

Just give them a bright spot indoors and put them outside in the summer. This works great with mandarins too.

That makes sense. Do you have a mandarin? If so how big do they get in the container and how much fruit does it usually produce?
